DVGW-EBI is a main research facility of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water. Scope of the activities are on the one hand research and consulting for the safe and environment friendly processing, distribution and application of natural gas, SNG, biogas, H2 from PtG. Furthermore, the Test Laboratory as part of the DVGW Research Centre is testing, surveying and certifying (by certification body of DVGW) all products for the use and distribution of gas (including all electric and electronic testing) and is auditing and certifying (by certification body of DVGW) gas supply companies as well as manufacturers of gas products
